What pray tell is the GIVE-A-WAY? Well, it's one of my favorite things & it makes finishing my pieces a breeze!
An Ultimate Waxing Brush & an entire roll of Ripple Cloth!
This combo makes waxing large pieces, and heavily detailed pieces so easy! The Ultimate Waxing Brush is such a great way to apply wax. It allows me to cover a large piece in a short amount of time. Once I get the wax applied, I move to the ripple cloth to massage the wax into Chalk Paint™. When I have the entire piece waxed, I ALWAYS make sure I go back to wipe off any excess wax with ripple cloth.
A little trick to waxing is to give a "greasy finger" test. I've mentioned it before, and I'll say it again :) At the 8-12 hour mark, run your finger across the wax. If you get a "greasy finger" mark, then too much wax has been left on the finish. Wipe again to remove excess wax. 8-12 Hours later, buff with the ripple cloth for great sheen! I have a love affair with Ripple Cloth~ ;)
Here's what I found inspiring to me from last week!
|Vintage Street Designs|
Judy over at Vintage Street Designs pull inspiration from Pier 1 to complete this sweet little chest!
I have never tried this, and am THRILLED that Tammy did! Tammy painted 10 things with one can of Duck Egg!!! WOW! Now if that isn't inspiring I'm not sure what is :)
Thanks everyone for participating and hope you link up this week for a chance to win!
Here are the rules for My Monday Muse…
1.) Please feel free to share about a piece you have completed, restored, renewed, recycled, re-purposed, or anything that inspires you! A dresser, a sign, a cloud, a picture, restaurant, house, or a person.
2.) Post a permalink (the link to the post), not the link to your blog or Pintrest.
3.) This party will close Sunday at midnight CST and I will choose my favorite and feature their piece on next week’s My Monday Muse.
4.) Please link back to My Monday Muse and visit others sharing their inspirations!
On to the party!
